NSW: Man charged with murdering man found shot in the head

SYDNEY, Aug 25 AAP - Police have charged a second man over an execution-style shooting
in Sydney's south-west last year.

The body of 47-year-old Christian Minotte was found in the backyard of his home in
Oliphant Street at Mount Pritchard, in April last year.

A post-mortem examination showed Mr Minotte had been shot in the back of the head.

Police arrested a 23-year-old man who fled after they stopped his vehicle at the intersection
of the Horsley Drive and Hassall Street in Smithfield just after midnight yesterday.

He was taken to Cabramatta police station, where he was charged with murder.

The man remains in police custody and will appear in court on a date to be determined.

This follows the arrest of a 24-year-old man in Lithgow who was charged with murder
on July 18 last year.
