NSW: Bell says he s innocent of some charges
SYDNEY, Feb 9 AAP - Convicted child molester Philip (Philip) Harold Bell today said he was
innocent of some of the sex offences he had admitted to in the New South Wales District Court.
Bell told Crown Prosecutor Mark Tedeschi, QC, he had wanted to avoid putting young boys
through the trauma of giving evidence and being cross-examined.
"I knew from previous experience in this courtroom it would be impossible to defend them
(some charges)," he added.
